Our Buddha Fear Not statue is seated in meditative pose, or dhyana asana. His right hand is raised in a gesture of protection and blessing, or abhaya mudra. The arm is elevated and slightly bent, the hand at shoulder level, with the palm turned outward and all fingers extended upward. This mudra is characteristic of Dhyani Buddha Amoghsiddi.
This Buddha statue is a reminder of the fearlessness which follows from enlightened mind. A fully awake being naturally acts with skill and compassion in all situations, without fear or hesitation.
