Kuan Yin Statues
Kuan Yin, Great Bodhisattva
The worship of Kuan Yin was introduced into China from India in the first century A.D., and into Japan in the seventh. Originally the god of mercy, Kuan Yin evolved into the goddess of mercy in the eleventh century. Later she was given the title of giver of sons, or one who brings about easy deliverance. Our many Kuan Yin statues symbolize the universal qualities of love, compassion and benevolence. All may pray to the goddess of mercy who seek relief from pains and misfortune.
