Prayer Wheel, 6.5" Table, 4 Line Mantra

Tibetan Buddhist prayer wheels consist of a cylinder, usually of metal, which rotates on an axle. The prayers are written on paper which is wound inside the cylinder, and wrapped in red cloth. Prayer wheels should be spun in a clockwise direction.

This table prayer wheel is decorated with four lines of Om Mani Padme Hum, the mantra of Avaloketisvara (Avaloketiswara), written in an ancient Nepalese script.
