The feminine principle has been honored in many cultures throughout antiquity, and embodied in various forms. Neolithic cultures, Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, Hindus, Buddhists, Christians - all have their images of the divine feminine. Goddesses may be either pacific and merciful, or angry and wrathful. Both have their place. Goddesses may be either worshipped alone, or in consort with a male. Be sure and see our other goddesses under Hindu and Buddhist statues.
